The result of this intention sounds like an extreme metal with some elements of classical music.

Ephel Duarh ,"Mountain of Shadow",was born in febbruary '98 and in five months have composed , arranged and recorded six tracks that appear in the first official demo intitled "Opera".Ephel Duath's music calls to mind black metal sound,but shares with it only some musical aspects.The attitude of the band isn't satanic.

The more predominant characteristic of this band are keyboards creating a whole suite of classical music in every song,using sounds of violin,cello,trumpet,kettledrum and other instruments, making the atmosphere more ethereal.

Guitars are fast and stormy and, being overlayed, the resulting disharmony is particular and peculiar.

The scream are very personal and touch high tonalities,to make the music colder E.P. uses an inhuman and complex drum machine emphasizing the track speed.
